The Whakaahuru Singers are a choir based in Wellington, New Zealand, who sing at the bedside of people who are receiving palliative care or otherwise approaching the end of life. We sing for residents at several rest homes in our area, and in the community, by request.

Our singing offers comfort and relaxation to patients, a connection with community and a feeling of support which extends to family and caregivers.

Our service is delivered without charge to patients or their families, as our singers are all volunteers and our expenses are funded through independent donations.
